On November 5, Jiang Hongkun, Mayor of Nanjing, met delegates of Zeev David Boim, the Minister of Israeli Construction and Housing.

Jiang Hongkun welcomed the guests who came to Nanjing for the 4th World Urban Forum (WUF) and the World Cultural and Historical City Exposition and introduced some information that the guests cared about, such as, Nanjing’s support housing, urban infrastructure construction, etc. Jiang Hongkun said that Nanjing paid great attention to the communication and cooperation with Israel. Both sides have had obvious cooperative achievements in many fields over the past years, such as agricultural science and technology, specialists training, etc. Under the tense situation of world energy, building up energy conservation and ecological environmental protection has become a common problem that many cities are facing while developing. And Nanjing and Israel have huge space for cooperation in this field. Nanjing has been equipped well on the aspects of developing new energy and promoting environmental and energy-saving architectures. Nanjing is willing to draw on the experience of Israel, to know more about it, to deepen communication and cooperation and to establish a deeper and tighter relationship.

Boim expressed that he was impressed by Nanjing’s beautiful ecological environment and quickly developed urban construction.
