On November 2, Mayors from foreign famous cities came to the Jianye District to visit some residents in the neighborhood.

They came from 10 cities of 8 countries in Asia, Europe and America and Africa.

At 2p.m., the Mayors came to the Yue’an Park and they were amazed by the original ecological beautiful scenery in front of their eyes: the grass, trees, the park, the waterfall and a mini-golf course. “This community is very clean, tidy and beautiful!” Berlandbaka, representative of Mayor of Bangalore, India raised his thumb and said, “The infrastructure is the community is very good with various exercising instruments and there are lots of green lands.” Activities of communities in Nanjing are very busy which is differentiated from those in India.

The Mayors were affected by the happy atmosphere and started to play with the residents. Seeing a group of boys playing football on the grass, Muller, Managing Vice Mayor of Leipziger, Germany, joined the team on the spur of the moment.

Each Mayor also got a gift called “Amulet” which is of Chinese characteristics. This was arranged by Sun Xiuying, Chief of the Yue’an Community. “The Chinese Knot is on the amulet. It means joy and can wish you all safety.” All the Mayors not only accepted the gift happily but also hung it to the zip of their bag.

The home of Liu Minghua, a resident, made the Mayors feel a strong blast of “Chinese wind”. The wall hangs Chinese landscape painting; the aquarium swims tropical fish; the yard plants flowers. The elegant interest impressed the Mayors very much. Sitting on the sofa made of imitation ancient vines and drinking Chinese “Kongfu Tea”, the Mayors chatted with the Liu Minghua’s about daily lives.
