In the morning of October 20, Cadre meeting was held in Pukou District to learn the spirit of the thirteenth Congress of Nanjing City, CPC. District leaders Cheng Yuxiang, Li Haoping, Min Yifeng, Chen Chanmei, Deng Lin, Ren Jialong, Zhao Deben, Li Shifeng and Peng Junsheng attended the meeting and were seated at the podium.
General Secretary of District Commission for Discipline Inspection Deng Lin conveyed the spirit of the report of City Commission for Discipline Inspection by General Secretary of City Commission for Discipline Inspection Long Xiang. In the report, it is pointed that main anti-corruption achievement over past five years: strong and powerful services to promote the scientific development, more standardized action political behavior of the cadres, fighting corruption development in depth from the source, effectively developing the combined effect of cases investigation, better resolving salient problems most concerned by the masses. In the report, the requirements on the construction of main anti-corruption work for next five years were proposed: serving to scientific development, providing the protection for the realization of “Three First” targets; promoting fine work style, enhancing the anti-corruption capacity of party members and cadres; promoting the construction of punishment and prevention system, improving overall level of anti-corruption construction; seriously resolving the outstanding issues, and earnestly safeguarding the interests of the people; investigating the disciplinary violation cases, keeping the pressure up against the corruption.
Deputy Secretary of District Commission for Discipline Inspection Li Haoping conveyed the spirit of Mayor Ji Jianye’s speech in Pukou discussion group. Mayor Ji pointed out, Nanjing should take the lead in realizing the modernization next five years, cross-river development and balance development of urban & rural areas was the key initiatives, the rural areas and counties, especially Jiangbei region, were the most important issue of the development. If no modernization in Jiangbei region, there will be no modernization of the city. Current and previous municipal committees and municipal governments had paid great importance to the development of Jiangbei region, after years of the savings, the time of great development and large construction in Jiangbei region was coming. In process of Nanjing leading the realization of the modernization, Pukou District shall recognize the mission, bear heavy responsibilities, seize the opportunity, focus on the key points, do well the planning, lay the foundation, seek the breakthrough, make the strides and promote economic and social development to a new level, and thus make a greater contribution for Nanjing “Second” target.
District general secretary Cheng Yuxiang conveyed the spirit of Thirteenth Congress of Nanjing City, CPC. He pointed out that the city is the Thirteenth Congress of Nanjing City, CPC was a congress to inherit the past and forge ahead into the future, which was held at new historical starting point and crucial stage of leading in basically realizing modernization. The report passed in the Congress included 4 sections: brilliant achievements of overall well-off society and construction of new Nanjing, glorious mission of leading basic realization of the modernization, vigorously promoting sound and rapid economic and social development, comprehensive improvement of scientific level of party construction, and it summed up five years of municipal work of 12th municipal party committee and specified the direction for basic realization of the modernization, construction of modern, international humanitarian and green city.
Finally, as for implementing the spirit of the thirteenth Congress of Nanjing city, CPC and doing well the work of our district, General Secretary Chen proposed a few requirements: 1. quickly conveying and implementing, and profoundly understand the essence of the report. The party organizations at all levels in this district shall adopt a variety of effective means to convey the spirit of the meeting to each of the cadres and masses at the fastest speed, and binding the work requirements in thirteenth Congress of Nanjing city branch, CPC, ensure to unit the thoughts and actions into the spirit of thirteenth Congress of Nanjing city branch, CPC, and cohering various aspects of strength and wisdom to the Municipal and District policies and arrangements. 2. Closely focusing on the target and scientifically plan and implement the tasks. All units must combine their practices, aim to create “three towns, three cities” goal, firmly grasp the guiding principle of “four cardinal principles”, focus on “Six aspects of construction on economic and social development” and five aspects of work on the improvement of scientific level of party construction, scientifically prepare the implementation schedule and work plans, deploy the congress's decision into operational and specific measures, make the development ideas and initiatives in line with the spirit of the city congress and their actual conditions, ensure to implement the objectives and tasks of city congress. 3. Maintain high morale and effectively enhance the current work. All units shall uplift the morale and enthusiastic state for initial goals, do well current work to ensure the completion of all tasks throughout the year, and ensure the good starting of 12th five year plan.
